How to Draw Ra

In this drawing lesson, you will learn how to draw Ra. Ra is the supreme deity of Ancient Egypt, the god of the sun, and everything in Ancient Egypt. The sun is the main source of energy, light, and life, therefore Ra was considered the deity who created everything around. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, Ra created air and humidity, and from these phenomena, the sky was born. How to Draw Ra
- Draw the beak.
Start by drawing a falcon’s beak on the head of the Egyptian deity.
- Nemes drawing.
Extend curved lines from the first part that will form the top of Ra’s head.
- Details.
Draw the details of the pharaoh’s nemes head cloth, as in the example.
- Second detail.
Draw the second dangling piece in the same way.
- Add the eye.
Draw the oval-shaped eye of Ra.
- Head patterns.
Detail the falcon head of the Egyptian deity by drawing all the patterns.
- Torso.
Start the torso shape by drawing the shoulders and waist lines.
- Draw the arms.
Draw the long arms of the deity.
- Draw the skirt.
Sketch the traditional skirt of Ancient Egypt.
- Hands drawing.
Draw the hands, detailing the fingers of one of the hands as in the example.
- Draw the legs.
Now draw the legs of the mythological deity as in the example.
- Details of clothing.
Draw bracelets on Ra’s arms and legs, and on the neck draw a typical Egyptian collar.
- Draw the sun-disc.
Above the deity’s head, draw the disk of the sun in two circular shapes.
- Draw the cobra.
On the forehead of the Ra mask, draw a Uraeus in the shape of the cobra goddess Wadjet.
- Scepter and Ankh.
Draw the scepter in one hand of the god Ra, and an Ankh in the other.
- Trace your sketch.
Finally, before coloring, trace the contours of your sketch with an ink pen or marker. If there are no such supplies nearby, then do it with a small brush and black paint.
- Color your artwork.
The sketching process is almost complete, you just have to color your artwork and the illustration of Ra will be complete!
