The ninja were forced to hide in the shadows, so they used the methods of stealth and disguise to carry out their tasks. They also had the knowledge of martial arts, especially jujitsu and ninjutsu, to go unnoticed and fight their opponents.
The ninja used a wide variety of weapons, including the katana, nunchaku, shuriken, bo, kusarigama, war fan, and many more. Their clothing consisted of a black or gray suit, which made it easier for them to hide in the shadows. They also used masks to hide their faces.
Ninjas are often featured in movies and television shows. Some of the most famous ninja projects are Naruto, Mortal Kombat, American Ninja and so on.

How to Draw a Ninja
- Start with the head.
Begin by outlining the basic shape of your cartoon ninja’s head.
- Add the mask lines.
Draw the cut on the ninja mask using two curved lines, then add eyes and eyebrows.
- Draw the body.
Now you need to outline the torso and legs of your ninja.
- Add the sleeve.
Draw the sleeve of your ninja’s kimono as shown, and also draw the ninja’s belt using two lines.
- Add details.
Draw the wavy ribbon of the mask that is located just behind the ninja’s head. Then draw the hand as shown.
- Draw the handle.
In the drawn ninja’s hand, add the handle hilt of a katana.
- Draw the sword.
Form the katana of your ninja using a curved and straight line as shown in the example. Also add the ninja’s second arm.
- Depict the feet.
Following the example from the step, form the lower part of your ninja’s leg, as well as the feet.
- Detail the pants.
Now you need to add lines on the lower part of the ninja’s legs that are needed to fasten the ninja’s shoes and pants.
- Color the ninja.
Now you need to use your coloring tools and add color to your ninja drawing.
