In this easy drawing lesson, you will learn how to draw a Dalmatian for kids. The Dalmatian is a breed of dog that originated in Croatia. The name of the breed comes from a specific historical region of Croatia. They are quite active and agile dogs that need constant physical exertion.
Outwardly, the Dalmatians look quite attractive: a large physique, hanging cute ears and a coat typical for this breed. It will be easy for all beginners to sketch a Dalmatian using this step-by-step instruction.

How to Draw a Dalmatian for Kids
- The shape of the dog’s head.
Draw the top of the head as a large semicircle shape and the bottom as two small semicircles.
- Add eyes.
Draw two large ovals for the eyes and black dots inside for the eye pupils. Draw small lines for the eyebrows on top.
- Draw the tongue and nose.
Under the eyes, draw a nose in the form of a rounded triangle, and below the tongue in the form of an oval with a line inside.
- Draw the ears of the Dalmatian.
On the head, draw two symmetrical large hanging ears of the dog.
- Add spots to the ears.
Draw circular spots on the Dalmatian’s ears.
- Draw the front legs.
Under the head, draw two curved lines for the front legs. Draw a straight line in the middle and small ovals for the dog’s paws on the sides.
- Spots on the legs.
Draw several circles of different sizes on the two drawn paws.
- Draw the hind legs.
Draw the hind legs on the sides as shown in the instructions.
- Spots of hind legs.
Draw some small circles on the hind legs.
- Draw the tail.
Now draw the pointed tail of the Dalmatian as shown.
- Color the Dalmatian dog.
