How to Draw a Crusader for Kids
- Draw the helmet’s shape.
Use an inverted pentagon to draw the hero’s head.
- Draw the viewing slits, the facial slit.
Draw a T-shape for the slit on the crusader’s helmet.
- Draw the shield.
In shape, the shield resembles a large leaf of a plant turned upside down. Draw an imaginary object on the sheet using two arcs and a straight horizontal line.
- Draw the cross.
The red cross, characteristic of the crusader’s shield, is drawn as follows: draw the horizontal and vertical stripes so that they intersect with each other in the middle. Erase the intersection lines and leave a blank space in the center.
- Draw the armor.
From the head, draw a pair of curved lines and connect them underneath with a straight line.
- Draw the fist and part of the sword hilt.
Draw the small circle—you get a fist that contains a sword. Do not forget to depict part of the sword hilt itself as a narrow rectangle lying horizontally on the surface of the hand.
- Draw the blade of the sword.
The blade looks like a plank of a wooden palisade. Draw slanted lines upward and connect them with a sharp angle.
- Draw the arms.
Draw the arms with curved lines.
- Draw the plate skirt.
This piece of armor resembles a trapezoid in outline. Pay attention to its uneven sides.
- Draw the legs.
Draw vertical rectangular legs. Next, add small circles—these are the knee pads, which also protect the crusader from injury. At the bottom of the legs, draw the character’s boots with two small, irregular ovals.
- Draw the cape.
Draw the cape with three smooth, wavy lines. Note that one of the halves of the cloak is hidden behind a shield.
- Color your drawing.
Color your knight using the colors shown in the example. Before coloring, you can trace the outlines with a marker to make the drawing look even better.
