How to Draw a Crown
- Prepare the base.
The base of the crown is a slightly curved line that defines the bottom of the figure and gives it shape.
The five prongs are triangular peaks that are evenly spaced across the top of the crown. Each prong has a sharp tip and is approximately the same height. The lines smoothly connect the prongs to the base.
Overall, the drawing looks like an outline made with smooth, continuous lines, without additional details. This is the first stage of the drawing lesson, where the general silhouette of the crown is laid.
- Add crown elements.
At this stage, the crown design is supplemented with new details.
The base and crown teeth: The outline from the first step is preserved — a curved line at the base and five triangular teeth.
Adding circles: Circles are added to the tops of each of the five teeth. They are symmetrically located and of the same size. These circles symbolize the crown’s decorations, such as precious stones or pearls.

If you want, you can add small lines inside the ovals to imitate the shine of the gemstones. This step will give your crown even more detail and make it truly royal!
- Finish drawing the crown shape.
Let’s finish drawing the crown using a curved line, this way we will complete the formation of the crown.
- Color the artwork of the crown.
At this stage, we will add color to the crown so that it looks finished and bright. Start with the main color of the crown — paint it with gold color. Use a yellow or gold pencil to evenly color all the teeth and the base.
