Hello kids! Our artists have prepared a simple tutorial on how to draw an eagle for kids step by step. Despite the fact that this lesson is intended for beginner artists, we tried to make detailed, but at the same time, simple elements in the drawing of an eagle.
Eagles are a genus of large birds of the hawk family. Eagles are found in Eurasia, Africa, and North America. Basically, eagles create their nests in trees and rocks.
The eagle differs from other birds, firstly, in size and large wings. Its wide and long wings, together with a rounded powerful beak, give the eagle a formidable look. Thanks to its huge wings, which have a span of up to 2.5 meters, it can develop high speed in flight and soar for a long time in the air.

How to Draw an Eagle for Kids
- Draw the head and body of the eagle.
To do this, draw two elongated ovals. Please note that the size of the body oval is 3-4 times larger than the eagle’s head.
- Draw the wings and beak of the bird.
Draw the beak as shown in our example of an eagle. The wing can be made in any shape. Draw some vertical lines that will separate the feathers.
- Draw out the wing and neck.
Draw the bottom of the wing in a similar shape.
You also need to connect the head and torso, for this draw the neck in two parallel, slightly curved lines.
- Draw the tail.
At this stage, you need to draw the tail of the eagle. The tail can also be drawn in the form of an arbitrary figure, as in our picture.
Also draw a small detail on the eagle’s chest—a pattern. This will add color to the drawing.
- Draw the eyes and lower leg.
Draw the eye in the form of an oval with a thick circle inside. Depict the eyebrow in a straight line above the eye.
Take a vertical rectangle as the silhouette of the lower leg, but instead of straight lines, make wavy ones. These will be feathers.
- Draw the paws.
At this stage, you need to draw, perhaps, one of the most difficult elements in this lesson—the lower part of the legs.
Paws have straight vertical lines, in the lower part there are 3 toes and 3 claws.
The main thing is not to rush and see, as shown in our drawing of an eagle.
- Trace the drawing.
Erase unnecessary lines and trace the drawing with a dark pencil or pen.
- Color the drawing.
The happening line. Color your drawing, we colored the eagle brown, head and tail white. Beak and legs in yellow. You can use other colors.
