Hi guys! In this lesson, you will learn how to draw an ant for kids step by step. Drawing an ant is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. In this lesson on how to draw ants, we used mostly rounded and even shapes, so you can easily draw an insect in 8 easy steps.
An ant is an insect that lives in large communities. There are many species of these insects that are found everywhere except Antarctica. These insects form 3 castes: females, males, and workers. Ants are very small in size and often invisible, but they can move loads tens of times their own weight. Now let’s move on to the drawing instructions. Follow all descriptions in the drawing guide to get a beautiful drawing.

How to Draw an Ant for Kids
- Draw the head.
To do this, draw a small circle.
- Add antennae.
Draw two small vertical lines at the top, with small circles at the end.
- Draw the eyes and mouth.
Draw the eyes in the form of two small circles, inside which are black pupils, to indicate the eyes. Draw a smile just below.
- Draw the thorax.
Draw a small circle under the head. It should be smaller than the head.
- Draw the abdomen.
Next, you will need to draw the abdominal cavity of the ant. Therefore, just below we draw a large oval.
- Draw the front legs.
On each side from the top, draw angular lines with small circles at the ends, as shown in our instructions.
- Draw the hind legs.
Draw the hind legs below in the same way as the front ones. They should be slightly larger.
- Color the drawing.
Color the ant gray and leave the eyes white. You can also use other colors such as brown.
