Hi all! A lot of requests about how to draw a dinosaur. Many dinosaurs are representatives of a group of reptiles that lived on Earth for almost 160 million years. Dinosaurs included both exceptional herbivores and carnivores. They also differed in appearance: large and small, with and without horns, with two or four limbs.
In general, the life expectancy of these creatures was 30–40 years. Especially large and strong dinosaurs could reach 300 years. Are you interested in an amazing character from the past? How to Draw a Dinosaur
- Form the head.
Start by drawing the shape of the dinosaur’s head and open mouth.
- Add teeth.
Draw the dinosaur’s sharp teeth along the length of the entire open mouth. Also add the nostril as shown.
- Draw the eye.
Now step back from the nostril some distance horizontally and draw a small circle. Inside the eye, use a small circle to mark the pupil.
- Draw the torso.
Now you need to draw the torso to the right of the dinosaur’s head. Extend two parallel lines from the head to represent the dinosaur’s neck. After that, draw the torso of the dinosaur with slightly pointed corners, as shown in the example.
- Add the tail.
Using two curved lines, depict the dinosaur’s long, pointed tail.
- Draw the arms.
Draw the arms along with clawed, sharp fingers.
- Add the legs.
Draw the two legs of the dinosaur, along with the toenails.
- Add spikes.
Just above the toes, draw sharp spikes. In addition to the spikes, draw a sinuous line all over the dinosaur’s body.
- Color your artwork.
We shaded our dinosaur using purple shades, but you can use green or brown, for example.
