They have existed on Earth for a long time, and according to some information, they appeared more than 100 million years ago. These insects have characteristic wings that allow easy flight. Butterflies are also one of the most useful creatures in nature, because thanks to their legs they are carriers of pollen, which favorably affects the growth of plants. And the beauty of these insects is simply impossible not to admire! Sketching these beautiful creatures is an easy and fun activity. Let’s get started!

How to Draw a Butterfly
- Draw the head.
Draw a small circle on the sheet.
- Add the antennae.
Draw hook-like lines from the top of the head.
- Draw the body.
The body of the butterfly consists of two oval shapes that fit snugly together.
- Wings.
Draw a wing that points down. Pay attention to that, the part of the wing that is closer to the body is narrower.
- Draw the second wing.
Next, draw a wing on top, which is much larger than the previous one.
- Add the pattern.
Add wavy lines on the wings.
- Draw the right wing.
In a symmetrical way, it is necessary to repeat the wings on the right side of the butterfly.
- Sketch the last wing.
By analogy from step 5 draw a symmetrical wing.
- Add patterns.
One of the final steps is to add a pattern to the right wings.
- Color the artwork.
These insects come in completely different colors and shades. We decided to use a bright pink-yellow color, but you can dream up and paint in other colors. You can also add sparkles and shadows, which will give the drawing a more realistic look.
